This destination will not be popular with tourists
The head of the Russian Defense Ministry, Sergei Shoigu, at a conference call on June 7, announced the opening of road and rail links with Crimea along the mainland by Russia. At the same time, military expert Viktor Baranets expressed doubt that travel to the peninsula would be popular with tourists until the end of the special operation due to the inevitable risk of sabotage.

In an interview with NEWS.ru, Baranets suggested that until the end of the Russian special operation on the territory of Ukraine, sabotage should be expected everywhere, and they will occur not only on the railway.
Expert stressed that the closer the completion of the Russian special operation, the higher the likelihood of “sabotage and terrorist attacks” by the Ukrainian side. According to him, over time, the enemy will become more sophisticated.
However, Baranets believes that the routes can be monitored around the clock by special teams of Russian military and Ukrainian local residents, most of them suffering from unemployment. The expert believes that in regions where the unemployment situation is “horrible”, this could be almost the only way for Ukrainians to earn at least some money.
