Why do we like this?

A song originally performed by Canadian rock band Sum 41, “In Too Deep” is an early 2000s banger that gets quite the upgrade by the Illinois-based indie-rock band Slow Pulp.

Emily Masser’s vocals are absolutely perfect for the song and the introduction of an electronic drum kit at the beginning fits wonderfully before the first chorus which satisfyingly implodes into an angsty wall of crashes and crunchy guitar.

Slow Pulp successfully revamped the instant classic without losing a smidge of its initial charm, maintaining an excited energy with some more contemporary introductions without the 2000s pop-punk accent of the original.
