Drake Reveals “CLB” Features: Jay-Z, Future, Lil Baby, Lil Durk, 21 Savage Maybe Nicki Minaj

Drake may have hinted that Jay-Z will be on his new album, and fans are going berserk.

The rollout for Drake’s impending album Certified Lover Boy has been slow and sweet. The highly anticipated sixth coming of the Canadian rap juggernaut in full-length form is long overdue after Drizzy started teasing the project more than a year ago. Considering all the global affairs that have thwarted various efforts to be great in that time, many artists got a pass for delaying their works. Now Drake is powering on full speed ahead, dropping hints about the project that will reportedly arrive this week.

In the CLB rollout, Drake and his team have taken clues to the streets with a series of billboards all across the US and Canada. The short messages have been hinting at the guest appearances to be expected on the album, including that of Lil Baby, Young Thug, Lil Durk, 21 Savage, Gideon, and more. Various cities have seen these hints pop up, according to the featured artist, who is a native. That being said, it was the billboard in New York that really got fans buzzing about Drake’s upcoming album. Instead of explicitly stating which New York rapper will be a guest star, the message reads, “Hey New York the GOAT is on CLB.”

Different fan bases understandably have varying viewpoints on who exactly is the “Greatest Of All Time,” which has been enough to spark a riveting conversation on social media. Many, of course, think Jay-Z is the surprise guest, but Barbz fans reminded that Mrs. Petty is also a New Yorker while Nas fans also made sure the iconic rapper’s name is in the mix too. It’s no secret that Drake and Nicki Minaj were in the studio together a few months ago, which leaves her fans with evidence to support their speculation. However, many are still questioning if Hov is the “GOAT” in question, considering not only his strong New York roots but also his status as a veteran rap mogul who is indeed widely considered the “Greatest Of All Time.”

In anticipation of Certified Lover Boy, Drake’s mom has also seemed to be dropping hints. The Toronto rapper shared a few poems written by Sandi Graham, alluding to the project that includes her reiterating a voice message she sent to her son quoting Michelle Obama. The same one that Drake ended up using at the end of his track “Can’t Have Everything” from his 2017 Spotify Playlist More Life. “We go high when they go low,” Sandi writes on the notecard. “Certified – it’s been quite a ride, I admire your relentless drive.”

With all the hot features already disclosed for CLB, fans are eager to get a taste of what the long-awaited album has to offer. Some are even trolling Kanye West, who is rumored to be beefing with Drake at the moment since he might not be the only one to premiere a brand new Hov collaboration this week. Who do you think is the “GOAT” of New York?

Lion Babe – Native New Yorker Lyrics

Running pretty, New York City girl, 25, 35
Hello baby, New York City girl

You grew up riding the subways running with people
Up in Harlem, down on Broadway
You’re no tramp but you’re no lady
Talking that street talk
You’re the heart and soul of New York City

Love is just a passing word
It’s the thought you had in a taxi cab
That got left on the curb
When he dropped you off at East 83rd

You’re a native New Yorker

You should know the score by now
You’re a native New Yorker

There you are, lost in the shadows
Searching for someone
To set you free from New York City

Where did all those yesterdays go
When you still believed
Love could really be like a Broadway show
You are the star, when did it close?

You’re a native New Yorker
No one opens the door
For a native New Yorker

Yoon Jong Shin – New York Lyrics

딱 세 번 가본 New York
언제나 설렌 New York
다 어디선가 본 것 같던 New York
한 번쯤은 살아 보고 싶던 New York

두리번거린 New York
무표정했던 New York
우디 알렌은 그 어디에도 없던
사나흘은 꾸벅꾸벅
워홀의 얼굴 밑에서

그래도 가고픈 New York
붐비던 그 거리를
내 입에 배었던
그들이 있던 곳

너무나 멀었던 New York
몇 번을 더 가겠어
그래도 돌아온 서울이 좋았던

MoMA 앞에서 만난
오래된 친구 New Yorker
지겨운 한국 정치 얘기 그만
난 여행을 왔다구
잘 있었니 My Friend New York

그래도 가고픈 New York
붐비던 그 거리를
나를 꿈꾸게 했던 그들이 있던 곳
너무나 멀었던 New York
몇 번을 더 가겠어
그래도 돌아온 서울이 좋았던

Frank, Andy, Woody’s town
Billy, Tony’s streets
De Niro의 Drive
My Once upon a time in New York, New York

그래도 가고픈 New York
붐비던 그 거리를
나를 꿈꾸게 했던 그들이 있던 곳
너무나 멀었던 New York
몇 번을 더 가겠어
그래도 돌아온 서울이 좋았던

Once upon a time in New York

Rostam – Bike Dream

[Verse 1]
You wake up late, you feel your heart begin to work
And now you’re all dressed up of course
And hailing cabs out of your door
On 14th Street I feel my head between my knees
And orange swimming through the trees
And orange swimming through the trees
Where could I go? What could I do?
Put in the state, my lips and eyes give me away
And now there’s nothing, I can say no
I’m pulled away, I see another of myself
Who’s found true love and happiness
To sit and smoke there on the chair for

[Chorus]
Two boys, one to kiss your neck
And one to bring you breakfast
Get you out of bed when
You’re sore from the night before
From knocking on my door
Your head against the floor boards
Two boys, one to love you sweetly
One does so discreetly
Never will he meet me
But I’m sure that you’ll catch your breath
You’ll sleep into the day
To wake up with sunlight across your room

[Verse 2]
Before I leave I want to try to go back in time
To just that moment in my life where I should have spoke up but I lied
As I sat there with my jaw open and I smiled
He pulled his sweater off and tried to explain he’d all but given up on love
I’m pulled away, I see another of myself who’s found true love and happiness
To sit and smoke there on the chair
Beside the bed I read this past week’s New Yorker
And I watch him paint Antarctica, and watch him paint Antarctica

[Chorus]
Two boys, one to kiss your neck
And one to bring you breakfast
Get you out of bed when
You’re sore from the night before
From knocking at my door
Your head against the floor boards
Two boys, one to love you sweetly
One does so discreetly
Never will he meet me
But I’m sure that you’ll catch your breath
You’ll sleep into the day
To wake up with sunlight across your room

[Outro]
Telling me something or nothing
Never the one thing I wanna hear
Telling me something or nothing
Never the one thing I wanna hear
Telling me something or nothing
Never the one thing I wanna hear

Isa Muhammad – Chemtrails & Muslim Wars (Priorities 5 Album) letras

[Intro: Isa Muhammad]
I come from a time where it is about like bars nigga, where it’s about like lyrics nigga, where it’s about like saying some shit nigga, some deep shit nigga, some shit about black people my nigga. You shit about, you know, some some some esoteric spiritual type shit, some shit that goes into the essence of what it just means to just be black and just popping in America, you feel me? Like. Isa Muhammad nigga

[Verse 1: Isa Muhammad]
Incarceration, genocide, they kill you if you criticize
They got your name and number nigga, intelligence centralized
The homie Paper just got shot, I pray he make it through the night
I know some niggas did some time, had to fly a couple kites
I roll around my fucking city feeling like I’m Michael Knight
And Jesus Christ, you need a fight, Norris Cole is colder than the snow
I always get the shot to go, I got the baddest bitch for sho’
Bout to get out 10 or fo’, and he come from coldest coast
Lyrics caught the Holy Ghost, I travel ’round on golden spokes
Naenae done hit them folkes, it’s a [?] if you did not know
Palestine and the occupation, evidently, but you can’t taste it
I’m in the booth on vacation, I feel like Wayne, it’s a dedication
Outer space on the reservation, [?] it’s an assassination
The shit I spit come from dark spaces like dark matter meets Darth Vader
And elevated and meditated till you levitated
Dronestrikes at your frontdoor, Inglewood forever more
Chemtrails and Muslim wars
[Chorus: Isa Muhammad]
And I ain’t trippin ’bout no bitches
Nah, said I’d rather put the city on, nigga
It’s Inglewood forever, look
Like chemtrails and Muslim wars
And I ain’t trippin ’bout no bitches bro
Nah, uhuh, said I’d rather put the city on
Word, it’s Inglewood forevermore
Uh, like chemtrails and Muslim wars

[Verse 2: Rick Ross]
I’m the Charles Dickens for these young niggas
Pray these scriptures pay my daughter tuition, it’s my vision
Ask me what I wanna be, and I said I’m a poet
Survive a drive-by got me feeling heroic
AK47’s for the shock and awe
Made a fortune, and no more smoking in those parking lots
Your men see you through a different lens
Ain’t no love cause they killing even wives and friends
Scholarships to school, they wanna know my race
Took a trip to Egypt, then I chose my faith
Field niggas would never suffer from sunburns
One word, you still a nigga, take this whole verse
Innercity niggas living by the Gotti rules
To be on house arrest he made a lotta moves
I’m prepaid for my next rhymes
I’ll let these niggas shine maybe next time

[Chorus: Isa Muhammad]
Your men see you through a different lens
Ain’t no love cause they killing even wives and friends
Scholarships to school, they wanna know my race
Took a trip to Egypt, then I chose my faith
Field niggas would never suffer from sunburn
One word, you still a nigga, take this whole verse
Innercity niggas living by the Gotti rules
To be on house arrest, he made a lot of moves
I’m prepaid for my next rhymes
I’ll let these niggas shine maybe next time

[Verse 3: Talib Kweli]
You received my gift, like a present, so my presence is a charity
The difference is it’s clear, but I focus on similarities
We in the trenches for our lives, these my soldiers in solidarity
Your intelligence artificial, that’s why you’re filled with singularity
Got that advice from my pops, it’s a staple
Like a plate of rice never, not religion, but a way of life
Pick your battle, save your fights
A wise man can play the fool, behave or pay the price
Respectability is cool, but that don’t keep me safe at night
This is why I’m still evolve ’cause these policies’ll kill us all
Nah they can’t kill us all, that’s why they wanna build a wall
But they don’t steal and they don’t rape and still get all
Like they don’t deal in raw, like they don’t kill at all
I’m a New Yorker, I saw the builings fall, they came because we built it first
The bricks are falling I say, and [?], that’s like the illest verse
So for me to trust, you gotta get the fuck up out your feelings first
Now watch you go from “Feel the Bern” to built up with the Bildergbergs
What the fuck is feelings worth

[Chorus: Isa Muhammad]
And I ain’t trippin ’bout no bitches
Nah, said I’d rather put the city on, nigga
It’s Inglewood forever, look
Like chemtrails and Muslim wars
And I ain’t trippin ’bout no bitches bro
Nah, uhuh, said I’d rather put the city on
Word, it’s Inglewood forevermore
Uh, like chemtrails and Muslim wars
