“Somebody Else” is a soft and contemplative reimagining of an already beautiful track that takes it into another dimension and breaks another heart.
The art of the cover (or re-imagining) is a subtle one, you want to give the track a voice equivalent to your sound, but at the same time, you want to respect the original. Vancouver Sleep Clinic and Pop Goes Ambient have not only given this track a different voice but have also handed it an arrow and aimed right for the heart of our memories. The track is not only a reminder of the beauty of the original but also a voice all of its own.
Like good poetry, the words stay the same, but the speaker gives it a different life.
